Adolescent and Adult ADHD

Medications can be great for some individuals to manage some of there symptoms. However, medications will not give you or your children the skills necessary for independent living and future success. Sometimes the conduct disorders that follow an ADHD diagnosis can be more problematic than the ADHD symptoms. I will be right there with you to implement the interventions we discuss during our sessions. Everything from preparing healthy meals that facilitate brain development, lower insulin spikes, and promote a better mood in children with ADHD, to finding and participating in activities that promote independence, family cohesiveness, self-awareness, and appropriate situational responses. I can also help you as a parent to respond effectively to situations that seem to be out of control. Over time you will learn that ADHD is not a curse. It is possible to live a fulfilling life with this condition and that it is not impossible to parent children with ADHD and conduct disorders. You can do this!!! I will give you the tools to become successful at it.
